With over a self-governing wealth fund of over $1 trillion, Norway is among the riches countries in the world. Norwegians have a high life expectancy and also enjoy free healthcare and education and they have a small income gap. The third place was taken by Denmark after scoring 7.55. With a 100% literacy rate and one of the smallest wealth gaps, Denmarks happiness level is ranked among the highest. Denmark has high scores due to its splendid health care services, environment protection by the citizens and also high life expectancy.

With 7.495 points Iceland takes the fourth happiest country in the world. In 2018 at the economic forum, Iceland was voted for being the best country in gender equality and also for being the most peaceful nation. Coming at number 5 is Switzerland with a score of 7.487 points. this country has good infrastructure, healthy economy and also it has favorable taxes. Having an average life expectancy of 83 years the Swiss can happily enjoy living their lives. Scoring 7.441 was Netherlands and this made them appear number 6 in the worlds happiness research.
